Power was restored to our site last Friday. Our Technician did replace the depleted batteries on-site as well. The service and power to the site has remained stable since, so we are not expecting any further disruptions from here.

The transmission site at Waihi has now gone down due to the extended power outage in the area. Lightwire Technicians are currently on their way to replace the depleted batteries to restore connectivity.

Lightwire's Waihi transmission site is nearing battery backup depletion due to extended power outages in the region. Technicians are assessing site access, road closures, and weather conditions to form a plan to attend site and recharge our batteries. Unfortunately, due to the challenging conditions, the site may go offline before we are able to attend to it.
