Hamilton datacentre power event

Latest update:

The Data Centre has bypassed the failed UPS and we have all alarms cleared. Resolving this issue.

History:

[2023-09-16 09:34:53 NZST] There is a power fault at a major Data Center in Hamilton in which Lightwire hosts equipment in. This incident has taken some non-essential systems and some monitoring equipment offline, but does not appear to have affected any primary networking equipment which is running from alternative power sources. Engineers will continue to monitor the situation.

Unplanned Incident - PPPoE packet loss

Latest update:

There were 3 packet loss events between 12:55 and 13:25 today with the longest event lasting about 8 minutes. The event was bound to one of our BNG nodes in our cluster and would only have effected services connected via PPPoE to this router. The issue was not with the BNG router itself but rather with an upstream layer 2 device. The device has been bypassed until an investigation can be completed by the vendor.

An incident report will be produced and distributed to business customers affected.

I would like to apologise for any inconvenience this event has occurred to you and your customers.
