The Upstream Fibre Carrier has confirmed the outage has been caused by a Fibre strike. They are working to repair the Fibre now, which they expect to take around 5 hours to complete.

Lightwire has been made aware of a fibre outage in the Tauranga area. Affected services will be without a connection until fibre repairs have been completed. Fibre repair work is ongoing as of this morning.
