Lightwire Engineers are currently investigating a fault at our one of our Taupiri transmission sites causing an outage to your connection.

Mains power was restored on Wednesday Afternoon and battery backup has recharged as well. This has remained stable since as well, so we are no longer expecting any outages due to the power cut.

[2026-04-14 10:39:24 NZST] Due to recent weather events, Lightwire's Manawahe transmission site is nearing battery backup depletion due to extended power outages in the region.

Technicians are currently in route to extend the run time of the site, but the site may go offline before we are able to attend to it.
